Meet the Founder
Priyal Gupta
Priyal Gupta is the founder of NorthStar Education, an independent college admissions consultancy built on a mission to empower ambitious students with clarity, confidence, and global opportunity.
A graduate of Brown University (Ivy League) with a background in Applied Math–Economics, Priyal brings a rare blend of analytical rigor and creative storytelling to the admissions process. She is a licensed UCLA-certified college counselor with a strong record of mentoring students from diverse backgrounds—including high performers, aspiring changemakers, and those from emerging cities.
Before founding NorthStar, Priyal worked as a management consultant across India, the U.S. (New York, Boston), and Tel Aviv, advising Fortune 1000 companies on strategic growth and innovation. Her experience spans both the corporate and social impact worlds, having also worked with grassroots ventures focused on education, equity, and youth leadership.
Priyal is an academic achiever herself—SAT 99.9th percentile, IB 44/45, and IGCSE distinction holder. She has held leadership, editorial, and public speaking roles across university and global platforms, and today heads a network of high-achieving mentors and professionals helping students discover their voice and purpose.
